Nordland sculpture program. “Opus for Heaven and Earth” by Oddvar I.N. The artwork is located on the hillside above Høyholm along the Coastal Route 17 in Vevelstad. It has the shape of a circle that is cut directly into the rock. The polished bedrock will reflect the light and catch the sun in a dialogue with the earth. The artist says that his idea refers to human migration across the globe. The circle symbolising unchanging continuity and eternal recurrence is known worldwide.
