Ewige Eindrücke  – Felszeichnungen, Vevelstad

Die Bilder aus dem Vistnesdalen stellen stilisierte Rentiere, Elche, Heilbutts, Menschen, Fußabdrücke, Boote und geometrische Formen dar. Vermutlich stammen diese Bilder aus der Zeit 4000 v. Chr.

Üblicherweise unterteilt man diese Bergkunst in Jagd- und Bauernzeichnungen. Diese Bezeichnungen knüpften an die Profession derjenigen an, die diese Zeichnungen erstellten oder benutzten – Jäger oder Bauern. Die Felszeichnungen im Vistnesdalen sind gemeißelt und damit jünger als die Eingeschliffenen. Gleichzeitig veränderten sich die Figuren mit den Jahren, vom Naturalistischen hin zum Schematischen. Die Jagdmotive entstammen der Steinzeit, hingegen die landwirtschaftlich geprägten Motive dem Bronzezeitalter zuzurechnen sind.
