Evige uttrykk – helleristningsfelt, Vevelstad

Bildene i Vistnesdalen fremstiller stiliserte reinsdyr, elg, kveite, menneskefigurer, fotsåler, båt og geometriske figurer. Bildene er sannsynligvis fra tiden rundt 4000 år f.Kr. Det er vanlig å dele bergkunsten i veide- og jordbruksristninger. Betegnelsene er knyttet til ervervet til dem som lagde og brukte ristningene; fangstfolk og bønder. Ristningene i Vistnesdalen er hugget og disse bildene er yngre enn de slipte. Likeledes endres figurene over tid, fra naturalistisk til mer skjematisk. Veideristningene er fra steinalderen, mens jordbruksristningene knyttes til bronsealderen.
